Yves Flückiger is a professor of economics at the Faculty of Economics and Management and currently holds the position of Vice-Rector.
After training in economics and sociology at the University of Geneva, where he obtained a doctorate in 1983, he was a research associate at Harvard and Oxford Universities. In 1993, he was appointed full professor in the Department of Economics at the UNIGE, then vice-rector in 2007.
Director of the Observatoire universitaire de l'emploi, he has served on numerous federal commissions, in particular the Competition Commission, of which he was vice-president from 2003 to 2007, and the National Research Council of the Swiss National Science Foundation, between 1998 and March 2008.

Former President of the State Council, David Hiler is a historian and economist. He was a lecturer at the University of Geneva and is the author of numerous publications on the history of Geneva. He was a member of the Grand Council from 1993 to 2005 and then State Councillor in charge of the Department of Finance from 2005 to 2013. He is a lecturer at the HEG Geneva and a member of several foundation boards of cultural and social institutions.

After training as a civil engineer at the University of Liege in Belgium and the University of Bristol in the UK, Frederic Herman moved to Canberra to do a PhD with Prof. Jean Braun at the Australian National University. During his PhD, he started working on the interactions between climate, erosion and tectonics.
After a post-doctoral fellowship at the California Institute of Technology, where he worked mainly on tectonic and erosional processes in central Nepal, he joined the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich in 2007. As a lecturer, he has the chance to work with several master students, PhD students and postdocs during 5 years and to develop a research program on the interactions between climate and land surface processes.
At the end of 2012, he comes to the University of Lausanne to build up a research group at the Institute of Land Surface Dynamics, first as a Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique grant professor and then as an associate professor. He is promoted to full professor as of August 1, 2019.

Journalist, presenter and producer in charge of the health news magazine 36.9° on RTS1 since its creation in 2006, Isabelle Moncada offers reports and investigations in the field of health and medicine. She is also a regular contributor to the science and medicine program of RTS-la Première. Previously, she was in charge of the consumer information program A Bon Entendeur where she created the "health" section.
Her interests in the scientific field are nutrition, food and the effects of agricultural policies on the health of populations, the impact of environmental changes on health, prevention, public health policies, social insurance systems. Biomedical ethics, transhumanism, human enhancement, human-machine hybridization, as well as the challenges of data collection and big data.

Patrick Odier has been a Managing Partner of Lombard Odier Group since 1986 and a Senior Managing Partner since 2008. Last summer, he was appointed President of Swiss Sustainable Finance. He also chairs Building Bridges, an initiative to promote sustainable finance in Switzerland and around the world.

Born in Geneva on August 12, 1946, Jean-Dominique Vassalli obtained his federal medical degree from the University of Geneva in 1972, his doctorate in science (PhD) from Rockefeller University in 1977 and his doctorate in medicine from the University of Geneva in 1984. In 1991, Jean-Dominique Vassalli was appointed Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, a position he held until 1999. He was then appointed vice-rector of the University of Geneva. He held this position until 2003. He was in charge of the files relating to the Vaud-Geneva collaboration and the valorization of scientific discoveries. From 2004 to July 14, 2007, he chaired the Section of Fundamental Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine.

Martin Vetterli's research activity is focused on electrical engineering, computer science and applied mathematics. His research interests include wavelet theory, image and video compression, and self-organizing communication systems. His work has earned him numerous national and international awards, including the national Latsis Prize in 1996.
Martin Vetterli has published more than 170 journal articles and is co-author of three reference books. He is also the author of about 50 patents that have led to the creation of several startups from his laboratory, such as Dartfish or Illusonic, as well as to technology transfers through patent sales (Qualcomm).

This Harvard sociology PhD and dean of the School of Management and Innovation at Sciences Po Paris became director of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in September 2020. Prior to joining the Institute, she was dean of the School of Management and Innovation at Sciences Po Paris, a school she launched in 2016. Prior to that, she was a professor at ESSEC Business School, where she was also, in turn, dean of the faculty and associate dean of the doctoral program.
